Fire Damages School Bus In Frisco

FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) – A school bus in Frisco was taking two students to their classes shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning when the driver noticed that something was wrong with the vehicle. Soon after, that bus was engulfed in flames.

The incident happened near the intersection of Eldorado Parkway and Coit Road.

According to Frisco spokesperson Dana Baird, the fire started out rather small and the driver was able to stop it with a fire extinguisher. At this point, the two students were taken off of the school bus and another vehicle was called to take them to campus.

“The driver noticed smoke coming from the bus radio,” said Frisco Fire Battalion Chief Shannon Brinton.
