Another Near Drowning In Fort Worth

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM)A family member pulled a three-year-old girl from their backyard pool around 6:00p.m. Saturday evening in North Fort Worth on Summerbrook Circle.

When paramedics from the Fort Worth Fire Department arrived, the child’s father had performed CPR and she coughed up a lot of water.  MedStar took over CPR and the child was conscious as she was rushed to Cook Children’s Hospital.

The Fort Worth Fire Department says there were several children swimming inside the pool who decided to get out of the water. No one saw the three-year-old get into the pool on her own.

But the e girl’s father noticed she was missing, ran out and spotted her in the pool.It’s believed that she was in the pool for only a very short period before being removed.
