3 Keller House Fires All Blamed On Lightning

KELLER (CBSDFW.COM) – Many residents in Keller are scratching their heads in disbelief after a bizarre series of lightning strikes triggered a set of several house fires. The storms, between 9:00 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. Sunday night, kept homeowners on edge and firefighters in Keller scrambling throughout the city.

There were six reports of lightning damage in Keller on Sunday night, including three separate house fires. The city told residents on Twitter and Facebook to look out for each other during this dangerous weather situation.

Chief David Jones with the Keller Fire Department reported that the biggest fire started in the attic of a home on Bourland Road and spread to the home’s second floor.
